Marbel Phone Sock

Yarn: Approximately 30g of DK yarn.
Small amount of contrasting yarn.
Needles: US 6 (4 mm).
Cable Needle.
Extras: 2 cm Pom Pom maker or Card.
Door Knob (for I-Cord).

Abbreviations

C4F slip 2 sts onto a cable needle, bring

to the front of knitting, knit 2 sts from

the LH needle, then knit the 2 sts from

the cable needle

K knit

K2tog knit two sts together

P purl

Rep repeat

Sts stitches

YO yarn over needle

Side (make 2)

Cast on 22 sts.

Row 1: K4, (P2, K4) 3 times.

Row 2: P4, (K2, P4) 3 times.

Row 3: K4, P2, C4F, P2, C4F, P2, K4.

Row 4: As row 2.

Row 5: As row 1.

Row 6: As row 2.

These 6 rows form the pattern and are repeated until your desired length is reached (approximately the length of your phone), ending with a row 5.

Next Row: P4, (YO, K2tog, K4) 3 times.

Next Row: K4, (P2, K4) 3 times.

Next Row: P4, (K2, P4) 3 times.

Picot Cast Off: Cast off 2 sts, *put sts back onto left hand needle, cast on 2 sts, cast off 4 sts; rep from * to end, fasten off remaining st.

Making Up

Press using the ball band as reference. Place right sides together and sew using back stitch, leaving a hole at each side corresponding to the holes created during knitting.

Turn right side out.

Using contrasting yarn make 2 I-Cords approximately 8 inches long. Thread 1 through holes from left side, and the other through holes from right side.

Using pom pom maker or card make 2 pom poms, before tightening pom pom place ends of I-cord in the centre, tighten pom pom, trim ends of I-cord and tidy pom pom using a scissors. Secure pom pom to I-cord with a few stitches. Repeat for second pom pom and the I-cord ends on the other side of the sock.
