Textured Photo Frames
Wooden picture frame (unfinished)
Drywall compound
Drywall trowel
Spray paint
Remove backing and glass from picture frame. Using trowel, put generous amount of drywall compound on frame and use trowel to cover frame with compound.
Once you have a thin layer over the whole frame you can use the trowel to create a textured effect with the drywall compound.
Let the compound dry overnight. The next day you can spray paint over the drywall compound using any color you like. These make great gifts!
This is a great way to recycle an old cracked or shabby picture frame.
